Plastics in automation
One of our clients specializes in building innovative automation systems. In this industry, the functional reliability of every component must be guaranteed. That same level of reliability can also be achieved with plastic components. With a wide range of materials available, each with specific properties, we can always develop a plastic injection-molded product that meets your application’s requirements.
If your product requires assembly, we collaborate with several local social enterprises that are highly capable of assembling or finishing parts to meet strict quality standards — efficiently and reliably.
Full-service project support
Fleur Plastics guided the complete process of converting several metal parts into high-performance plastic components. Starting with the original metal parts, a new technical drawing was created. Using Rapid Prototyping, we 3D-printed the first functional version of the product — allowing for real-world testing and any necessary design refinements before committing to tooling.
Once approved, the design was passed on to toolmakers either locally or internationally, depending on your preference and budget. We always provide transparent cost options for mold manufacturing, so you retain full control over where the mold is produced.
When the product design matched the customer’s expectations, Fleur Plastics oversaw the mold construction and managed the transition into full production. Any required post-processing or assembly is also handled by us — so you don’t need to worry about a thing.
Smart material choices for advanced functionality
In this particular automation project, the plastic parts were later fitted with metric threading. This requirement was taken into account during the material selection phase — resulting in the use of a self-lubricating plastic optimized for threaded applications.
Have questions about what we can achieve for you?
Post-processing of plastic components is almost always possible — even if you're unsure whether it's the right approach. Feel free to contact us for advice on plastic parts and finishing techniques.
